Voting Information for Surf City Residents

The 2019 Municipal Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 for the Town of Surf City. Polls will be open from 6:30 am until 7:30 pm.

  • Voters who are already registered need not re-register. Residents of Surf City who are not registered must register by 5:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2019 to vote in this election.
  • Absentee ballots are allowed. Requests for an absentee ballot must be made in writing using a state-approved form found here and be received in Pender and Onslow County Board of Elections office by 5:00 pm on October 29, 2019.
  • One-stop early voting for Pender County residents will be held in the Boards of Elections office located at 807 S Walker Street Burgaw. One-stop voting for Onslow County is located at the Board of Elections office located at 246 Georgetown Rd, Jacksonville NC. Beginning on October 16, 2019 thru November 1, 2019.  One-stop voting hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
  • Surf City residents who live in Pender County and normally vote at the Sloop Point voting precinct (Cape Fear Community College) and live within the Town of Surf City; your voting precinct for the November 5, 2019 Municipal election has been temporarily changed to the Surf City Fire Department located at 200 Wilmington Avenue Surf City NC.
  • Surf City residents who live in Onslow County will vote at the Folkstone Freewill Baptist Church located at 133 Old Folkstone Rd, Holly Ridge, NC 28445.
