Engine 2551

In February of 2002, Engine 2551 was delivered to the Town of Surf City. Engine 2551 is a 2002 Model E-ONE Pumper with a Spartan chassis, equipped with a 1250GPM Hale pump and 1000 gallons of water. Engine 2551 is based out of Surf City Fire Department - Station 25 and undertakes the role of "first out engine" for the mainland district of Surf City in order to provide the best level of fire protection and life safety possible.

Engine 2355

In December of 2006, Engine 2355 was delivered to the Town of Surf City. Engine 2355 is a 2007 Model E-ONE Pumper with a Spartan chassis, equipped with a 1250GPM Hale pump and 1000 gallons of water. Engine 2355 is based out of Surf City Fire Department - Station 23 and undertakes the role of "first out engine" for the island district of Surf City in order to provide the best level of fire protection and life safety possible.


Red hummer number 2580

Brush 2580

Brush 2580 is a 1988 surplus HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) commonly referred to as the "Hummer." This apparatus serves as the department’s brush truck, and was donated to the department in 2009. All work performed on the vehicle was completed by the firefighters within the department. Brush 2580 is equipped with a Honda fire pump and 250 gallons of water making this unit the ultimate brush and forest fire response vehicle.

Service 2390

Service 2390 is a 2010 Ford Explorer 4 by 4 SSV (Special Service Vehicle) and serves as a Chief’s vehicle for the department. This apparatus is also utilized and equipped to be a command and water rescue response vehicle.

Red tower Truck number 2595

Tower 2595

In April of 2003, Tower 2595 was delivered to the Town of Surf City. Tower 2595 is a 2003 Model E-ONE 95 foot platform, equipped with a 2000 GPM Hale pump and 300 gallons of water. Tower 2595 is powered by a Cummins ISM500 turbocharged six cylinder diesel engine coupled with an Allison HD4060P five speed automatic transmission. Tower 2595 is currently based out of Surf City Fire Department - Station 25 which is centrally located in the district in order to provide the best level of fire protection and life safety possible.

Red and black ATV Service 2399

Service 2399

Service 2399 is a 2010 Kawasaki Mule 4 by 4 ATV and serves as the department’s primary ocean rescue vehicle. Due to crowded beach conditions, a pickup truck is often unable to navigate, this apparatus is the answer. Carrying two rescue swimmers, a rescue paddle board, stokes basket and other water rescue equipment, crowds are no problem.


Engine 2354

In August of 2011, Engine 2354 was delivered to the Town of Surf City. Engine 2354 is a 2007 Model Seagrave Pumper built on a Freightliner chassis, equipped with a 1250GPM Darley pump and 1000 gallons of water. Engine 2354 is based out of Surf City Fire Department - Station 23 and undertakes the role of "reserve engine" for the department. In the event of a mechanical failure of a first out engine, 2354 can be used as a replacement until the other apparatus is back in service.

Tanker 2571

In October of 2013, Tanker 2571 was delivered to the Town of Surf City. Tanker 2571 is a 2007 Model Pierce Contender Tanker built on a Kenworth chassis, equipped with a 1250GPM Waterous pump and 2000 gallons of water. Tanker 2571 is based out of Surf City Fire Department - Station 25 due to some areas of the mainland district being outside of hydrant coverage, therefore providing the best level of fire protection and life safety possible.

Service 2594

In July of 2012, Service 2594 was delivered to the Town of Surf City. Service 2394 is a 2007 Model Seagrave Rescue built on an International chassis, equipped with a full cascade system with portable SCBA fill station, Hurst rescue tools and a Night Scan light tower. Service 2594 is based out of Surf City Fire Department - Station 25 and is the department’s mobile air and light truck. Due to the broad range of equipment carried on this apparatus it responds to various types of incidents such as structure fires, HAZMAT and automotive accidents.
